On 10th March 2026, the students of B.Sc Life Sciences and M.Sc Microbiology, accompanied by their faculty, embarked on an enriching industrial visit to the Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics (CDFD), Uppal, and the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT), Tarnaka.
At CDFD, students attended a live demonstration on DNA Fingerprinting, gaining valuable insights into its practical applications and strengthening their conceptual understanding. The visit to IICT provided an in-depth exposure to advanced scientific instruments and techniques, including Pheromones, NMR, HPLC, Molecular Bank, and Spectroscopy. Experts guided the students through equipment handling and clarified their queries, offering a truly hands-on learning experience.
